AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 7: THE SOUL BROTHER SAYS GOODBYE

Yesterday, the top 7 took on songs from the 21st Century and the 21st century Invasion continues today with the performances of our hopefuls, and celebrity guests.

52 Million votes were cast the night before, and of course, we're all excited or sad to see who didn't get much of those votes.

The show was opened with Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, Stefano Langone, and Lauren Alaina performing "Hey Soul Sister" by Train, I have to say that the performance really went good, unlike what happened yesterday where there was a technical mishap with Jacob's performance.

Ryan asked Casey and Jacob to stand up, then he talked to them about the judges' comments the night before. Ryan then announced that Jacob is in the bottom three, and Casey was sent to safety.

The results were followed with David Cook singing "The Last Goodbye" from The Loud Morning, David's second major-label album. The album will be released on 6/28/11.

Casey Abrams, James Durbin, and Scotty McCreery then performed "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. After their performance, more results. Lauren, James, and Stefano were asked to stand. Lauren and James were both safe, while Stefano was sent to the stools to join Jacob in the Bottom Three. Haley was also sent to the stools to complete the bottom three, and Scotty was safe.

Haley was sent to safety first. After the fillers, Katy Perry performs "E.T." with ouf course, Kanye West from her studio album "Teenage Dream"

On the final part of the show, Stefano Langone was eliminated and Jacob Lusk is safe. James cried because his bestfriend leaves the show.

The Last Girl standing is not announced yet this year, maybe one of these girls will be in the finale. I hope they do two songs next week with their theme Carole King.

What do you think will happen next week? DID AMERICA GET IT RIGHT? PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT.
