AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 5 PERFORMANCES REVIEW

The top 5 has taken on the stage with Songs from the 60's and songs by British artists. For me, this performance night is one of the best performance nights ever! They all did good, a great battle between the voices fighting for a spot in the top 4. At this point, we may say anything can happen, but there's nothing wrong about making predictions, and once again, I'll be ranking them from the best to good, and give my comments. Let's begin!

60's Hits:

  1. Hollie Cavanagh - River Deep, Mountain High - First and foremost, round 1 goes to her, second, America better put her through to the top 4 because she really proved that she's worthy, and third, that performance is now on the list of her best performances this season. She did a really great job, I'm happy for her, her pitch was perfect, I really hope America puts her through.
  2. Skylar Laine - Fortunate Son - Well, that was fun! I love it when Skylar performs like that, going around the stage, shaking, and doing little hops. She did really great, I loved it. Let's all hope that she'll also be safe because based on that performance, this girl's not giving up, well, they're all not giving up, but we just really have to listen.
  3. Phillip Phillips - The Letter - Another shoulder-shrugging performance from PP. It wasn't boring, he didn't look like he was struggling, and he did great, but I'm still not sure if that made him 100 percent safe, because he's never been in the bottom 3 before.
  4. Jessica Sanchez - Proud Mary - For me, she looked a little bit awkward dancing, and I'll also say that she needs to add a little more energy, and hop a lot more, maybe headbang even harder. Great vocals though, but Jessica's not for upbeat performances because I think she can't dance along.
  5. Joshua Ledet - Ain't Too Proud To Beg - For the past weeks, we see the judges overrate this over-singing contestant. His performance was just so-so for me because of the oversinging, I don't know America, I have nothing more to say about this performance.

Brits:

  1. Hollie Cavanagh - Bleeding Love - Both performances were great. She sang the song with great emotion, and I hope America saw that. She has to be safe tomorrow, because she is worthy and she proved it.
  2. Jessica Sanchez - You Are So Beautiful - This was way better than her first performance. She stuck to what she can do, and I think she's better that way. I may have been suggesting upbeat songs for her, but after that Proud Mary performance, I know that she is better sticking to what she really is. She did great.
  3. Skylar Laine - You Don't Have To Say You Love Me - I haven't seen that softness in Skylar, and though a lot of people hated her performance, I think she did really great. Sometimes, I really don't get people, they say they're tired of contestants the same thing every week, but when they do something different, they won't like it... Just listen people!
  4. Joshua Ledet - To Love Somebody - He wasn't oversinging it at first, then he started to. It may have been better if he just kept it smooth and soft. I hate it when he oversings because he sounds like a... hahahahaha, sorry.
  5. Phillip Phillips - Time of the Season - Average. Mediocore performance. There was no spark. He didn't amke magic happen. His vocals were great, but he should've picked a song which is in his range.

Overall:

  1. Hollie Cavanagh
  2. Skylar Laine
  3. Jessica Sanchez
  4. Phillip Phillips
  5. Joshua Ledet

BOTTOM 3: Joshua Ledet, Skylar Laine, Jessica Sanchez
ELIMINATED: Joshua Ledet, and a little feeling that it's Skylar Laine.

Who do you think stood out? WHo will be eliminated tomorrow?

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 6 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

The American Idol 2012 top 6 has taken on the stage with Queen songs, and Personal song choices. Who stood out? Here's what I think.

Skylar performing The Show Must Go On; Credits: FOX
QUEEN

  1. Skylar Laine - The Show Must Go On - I love the song choice and I love the performance. She really showed it to America that she's not standing in the middle of the pack, because she's really starting to lead now!
  2. Hollie Cavanagh - Save Me - Save her, not by pity, but because she really deserves it. That performance was way, way much better than some of the other performances. It's not boring if you watch it again, really.
  3. Elise Testone - I Want It All - Another good job brought to us by Elise. America must vote for her. It wasn't her best, but her Queen performance stood out than the others below her in this list. Elise must go on.
  4. Phillip Phillips - Fat Bottomed Girls - I know he always do those shoulder shrugs, and weird dances, but he looked like he was struggling with the song, though he sang it great. I don't know, he looked like he was just struggling.
  5. Jessica Sanchez - Bohemian Rhapsody - Where's the rock and roll on the song? I'll have to say it's not Bohemian Rhapsody without the runnin', without the hair flying, and without the rockin' facial expressions. Good vocals, but stage presence, thumbs down!
  6. Joshua Ledet - Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Okay, the judges are defintely giving him the standing ovation to give him a mark, and make America remember him. That's just unfair, because for me, the song didn't really fit him.

PERSONAL  CHOICES

  1. Skylar Laine - Tattoos on this Town - Awesome job! She may have been placed on a elimination-phrone spot, but I have a great feeling that she won't be going home tomorrow because of this memorable performance, as well as the other one. Skylar's a really great artist, and haters will be haters, so don't listen to them.
  2. Hollie Cavanagh - The Climb - This girl is really fighting for a spot on the top 5, and that song definitely helped her. She connected with it, because she really has to climb her way to the top, and she showed us her range once again. Hollie did a really great job tonight.
  3. Phillip Phillips - The Stone - It's one of the most unusual performances you'll see on Idol. He held on, and he did a good job. I'll have to say it's much better than his first performance.
  4. Elise Testone - Bold As Love - America! Don't be deaf! Vote for this girl! Her performances were ones of the performances which stood out not only tonight, but as well as the previous weeks. The song choice was really great, and it fits her.
  5. Joshua Ledet - Ready For Love - This was way, way better than the first song. Joshua really did a great job, and these are the songs he should be recording. GO JOSHUA!
  6. Jessica Sanchez - Dance With My Father Again - Cool song choice, but I was a little bit bored. he showed great emotion, she connected with the audience a little, and we heard her powerful voice, but for me, it's just a so-so. Jessica can do better than that.

If I'll rank them combining both performances, it'll be...

  1. Skylar Laine
  2. Hollie Cavanagh
  3. Elise Testone
  4. Phillip Phillips
  5. Joshua Ledet
  6. Jessica Sanchez

BOTTOM 3: Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone, Hollie Cavangh
ELIMINATED: Elise Testone, because the judges are so bias about giving comments.

What do you think about their performances? Who's going home tomorrow? Comment.

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 7 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

She did it again! ; CREDITS: FOX
The top 7 has taken on the stage and I wasn't expecting that it would be a little boring. I know I was excited and all last week, but when I watched it, I was really disappointed. Anyway, Hollie is on the edge, and let's hope the judges will save her, but Phillip will always be safe and so, I don't have to comment on that, I'll just start ranking them now!

  1.  Elise Testone - "You and I" by Lady Gaga - Guess who I just heard there... Adele and Lady Gaga at the same time. I loved the song choice, I loved the performance, America should vote for her, if she will be voted off tomorrow, the judges should save her! GO ELISE! he really rocked that performance!!!
  2. Jessica Sanchez - "Stuttering" by Jazmine Sullivan - I think she really did a great job. I'm starting to appreciate her voice even more. he';s a great girl and she's gonna make it further in the competition. he has good control, and she doesn't push too much. I love that.
  3. Holle Cavanagh - "Perfect" by Pink - The judges want her off the show. he did a great job performing, but the way they criticized her, it's like she didn't do a good job. I don't know, but America, you better vote for this girl because she deserves to be in the finale, and to the judges, YOU ARE ALL WRONG! Your minds are overworking that they malfunctioned when it's her turn to perform.
  4. Skylar Laine - "Didn't Know How Much I Loved You" by Kellie Pickler - Her performance was awesome, but didn't make her stand out for the night. he might be in a little danger with that performance, though she really did good, and though she's one of the best singers this year.
  5. Phillip Phillips - "Give a Little More" by Maroon 5 - Great Job! But it's still boring. He has a unique voice, and he should start exploring what it really can do, because all your performances are just the same week by week. Think America!
  6. Colton Dixon - "Love The Way You Lie" by Rihanna - I know everyone will disagree, but that's not a good performance. It's his worst performance so far.I'll just give him another chance by saying that he just pickjed the wrong song, but he should do better next time, vocally, and he should start picking the right songs from now on.
  7. Joshua Ledet - "Runaway Baby" by Bruno Mars - Overdid it to the level that he didn't sound like it's his best. He's not relaxed, and he's pushing himself too hard. He oversung the song, and I really didn't like any of it, YES, even the song choice.
GROUPS:
  1. Elise and Phillip - It was perfect.
  2. Colton and Skylar - It was great.
  3. Joshua, Hollie, and Jessica - I'm sorry, but I think Joshua ruined it.
As you can all see, the girls did better this week, and I hope all the girls out there in America are gonna vote wisely, and think about what they are really doing to the other contestants.

BOTTOM 3: Hollie Cavanagh, Elise Testone/Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet
ELIMINATED: Joshua Ledet
SAVE? If it's Joshua, it's 50/50, but most likely, no.

What do you think about their performances? Who should be eliminated?

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 8 STUDIO RECORDINGS REVIEW

American Idol Top 8 - Season 11
Compilation Album
Since I'm not posting that much in this blog, I decided that I'll also start reviewing the studio recordings of each contestant every week, and I'm gonna start with the top 8. As you all know, the studio versions of their songs are different from their live performances and so, you are gonna see a different ranking in this post. Here we go...

  1. Skylar Laine - Wind Beneath My Wings - Nobody can beat her this week, that's my opinion. She did a really great job delivering her performance, and with this recording, she had me again, and I think it's not only me that she got. I hope we're gonna hear more of her studio recordings.
  2. Colton Dixon - Time After Time - It sounded like his performance, same arrangement, same range, and I still loved it. However, I still see him doing soft rock, or rock songs, and with that, I hope he picks a better song next week.
  3. Hollie Cavanagh - Flashdance... What a Feelin' - Despite of that performance, she had a great studio recording. I think her performance last Wednesday night was good, but this version is way, way much better. One thing I have to tell Hollie, she should start taking on bigger songs that shows us why she is deserving to stay in the competition.
  4. Elise Testone - I Want To Know What Love Is - I loved it. It's a song which was gonna sound karaoke when you sing it, but for her, it seemed so natural, it didn't sound karaoke at all. I hope people are gonna start voting for the voice, and not for the face so that she can stay longer in the competition.
  5. Jessica Sanchez - How Will I Know - Her recording was just a so-so for me, I loved her performance more, because I saw her have fun.
  6. DeAndre Brackensick - I Like It - Just like all his previous songs, I always like the studio versions better. I don't know, but this performance was great, and he wasn't on the top because I still think that the others are better than him.
  7. Joshua Ledet - If You Don't Know Me By Now - I don't want to say anything against this song, but his performance was better. The studio recording was just so-so, but I still like his voice.
  8. Phillip Phillips - That's All - I don't know what I didn't like about it, but it sounded like his first performance from way back. That's All.

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 8 REVIEW

Skylar Laine, best performance of the night; Credits: FOX
The top 8 have taken on the stage, and the show didn't turn out to be boring. It's now time to review each of their performances, starting from the best, to the person who I think didn't do a really great job. Before that, I just noticed people who perform last are really nailing it, Phillip, Colton, Elise, and now Skylar. Now, let's start the review...

SOLOS:

  1. Skylar Laine - Wind Beneath My Wings - She was really connected to the song, and I love how she performed it. Okay, a lot of people are saying that she's not gonna win, I have to agree with them, but we all have to admit that she's a great artist. The judges did a great job picking the contestants this year. Skylar really did a good job closing the show, and that's quite a redemption from last week. I love her.
  2. Colton Dixon - Time After Time - Great arrangement, it sounded like it's his own, and I saw him connect with the song. I want to see him do a performance like "Pianoi Man" again, though, so I hope he'll pick a slower and soft-rock-ish song next week. One more thing, I'd be surprised if I see him leave for the upcoming weeks.
  3. Jessica Sanchez - How Will I Know - I'm glad she did a happy song this week, because I really want to see her have more fun on stage. It was a better version of Jessica than the previous versions of her, because I saw her confidence, and she really did a great, awesome job. I like this Jessica, and I hope I'll see more of her doing performances like this.
  4. Elise Testone - I Want To Know What Love Is - I'm starting to love her ever since she started really singing. Her performance was average, but it s enough to put her through the next round. I said average because I know she can do better than that, and with that average performance, she still did a great job performing better than some of the other contestants.
  5. Joshua Ledet - If You Don't Know Me By Now - Cool! I had hints that he'll be the one doing the song when I saw the spoiler song list. I wasn't expecting that much from him, because I know he can nail it, he's a great guy, and I know he's gonna make it far in the competition. This is bad, but I still don't think that he can win the competition.
  6. DeAndre Brackensick - I Like It - I think he did a great job this week, and he's really being tru to what he can do. I just think that he should start taking risks this time, because five people have been voted off, and you don't want to be the sixth. It's time to step out of you comfort zone and start to show people what other things you are capable of.
  7. Hollie Cavanagh - Flashdance... What a Feelin' - Great song, but she didn't deliver it well. She also didn't connect that much to the song, but she still has a great voice, just more connection next time. If she will ever be eliminated this week, I hope the judges save her, and I hope America will give her another chance after that.
  8. Phillip Phillips - That's All - I don't think Phillip did a great job this week, and just like what I said the previous weeks, he has to step it up because he just has to. Each performances are just similar, and I want him to do something new.
Joshua and JEssica, best duet of the night; Credits: FOX
GROUPS:
  1. Joshua & Jessica - I Knew You Were Waiting For Me - Best duet of the night, I'm glad they decided to pair these two. They did a really awesome performance, and there's nothing more I can say about it.
  2. Colton & Skylar - Islands in the Stream - First of all, they were trending on twitter worldwide, and that's because their performance left an impact. They did a great job, and it was almost perfect.
  3. Phillip & Elise - Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - They did a great, great job, but they weren't the best. I love their duo, and I love their song, great job!
  4. DeAndre & Hollie - I'm So Excited - I like their performance, but I think DeAndre was a little exaggerated when he sang the song, with Hollie, she did a good job, and I saw them have fun, so that's it.
MY THOUGHTS FOR TONIGHT'S SHOW:
Bottom 3: Hollie Cavanagh, DeAndre Brackensick, Joshua Ledet
Eliminated: DeAndre Brackensick
Save? No

What do you think about their performances? Who do you think will be eliminated?

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 9 REVIEW

The Top 9 has taken on the stage and most of them satisfied me with their awesome performances. I'll be saying a little not-good things, but they still did good. Here we go.

  1. Elise Testone - Whole Lotta Love - Great! Great! Great Performance! This girl is really starting to rise from her tomb in the bottom three, and that started last week. I'm glad that she's getting more fans because she deserves to stay longer. People has to vote for the voice, not for the face, and not for the age.
  2. Heejun Han - A Song For You - Finally! Heejun Han! These are the songs you should be singing! The judges gave him a standing ovayion because he really gave it his best, and hopefully, he will bring himself to the top 3. He has a very soft, buttery voice, just like what I say every week, and let's hope that he will stay longer.
  3. Phillip Phillips - Still Rainin' - The song was a little bit unfamiliar, but he did a great job. He has a reat style, and the way he performed it was simple, but is still a big hit. Also one of the contestants with the best potentials to win this year.
  4. Jessica Sanchez - Sweet Dreams - Didn't feel her that much, her performance was great, it was original, but if she did it a little faster or upbeat, I would've loved it more. Anyways, we all know that she's the one who has the most numbe of fans and potentials to win this year, so I can't say anything against her. She gained more confidence, and I'm glad that she did.
  5. Skylar Laine - Gunpowder and Lead - Love that Miranda Lmbert inside her. It's a big song for her, but she still did it. Great job, and these are the songs that she should be singing. She rocked that stage, and she will definitely continue rockin' it out, because America will surely put her through.
  6. Joshua Ledet - Without You - He did another great job. He gave justice to the song, the song definitely gave justice to his voice. Great guy.
  7. Hollie Cavanagh - Jesus, Take the Wheel - The judges were a little bit hard on her, but I have to agree, she must have picked another song, something bigger, and something that would really show her range. She was a little uncomfortable with the song, based on what I observed. I hope she's gonna pick a better song next time, because I want her to win.
  8. Colton Dixon - Everything - Average performance. His erformance last week is hard to follow. It was a little flat, and a little boring, but he still carried on. He has the potentils to win the competition but not with a song like this, so next time, he should pick a better son, and perform it with all that he got on stage.
  9. DeAndre Brackensick - Sometimes I Cry - For the past few weeks, he's been boring. I hope he's gonna pick a better song next week, if ever he's gonna survive tomorrow's cut, which I have doubts on.
GROUP PERFORMANCES:
They all did a great job, but the best trio were Colton, Phillip, and Elise.

BOTTOM THREE (Based on How America Vote): DeAndre Brackensick, Joshua Ledet, Skylar Laine
ELIMINATED CONTESTANT: DeAndre, and the judges will not save him.

That's it. What do you think about their performances? Comment.

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: THE TOP 10 WEEK REVIEW

First of all, I apologize for not doing a live blog this week, next week, I'm sure I can do one.

So, the top 10 has taken on the stage with Billy Joel songs, and Tommy Hilfiger fashion. Erika van Pelt was eliminated, and that really shocked me. Heejun Han was in the bottom two, as well as DeAndre, and I was expecting DeAndre toreally go, but he didn't. Now, I'm still gonna review their performances and rank them from the best to good, or the best to worst.

  1. Colton Dixon - Piano Man - Really great rendition, I got hooked with his performance that I watched it again and again over the internet. His song choice was also the best of the night, and I have to say that he's really fighting for a spot in the top three. He was with the piano the whole performance and that's what made it really cool, because he still sang it perfectly.
  2. Phillip Phillips - Movin' Out - His performance was great, same with Colton's. They both showed what they can really do. He is also one of the contestants who can stand on his own, and he does the things that he wants to do with simplicity and uniqueness.
  3. Jessica Sanchez - Everybody Has a Dream - This girl had a dream, and now it'scoming true, all she has to do now is to gain more confidence so that she canmake it to the finale. Her performance was awesome.
  4. Hollie Cavanagh - Honesty - At first, I was really scared for her because she picked this song, but when she started singing, she got me. Shes a great singer, and i disagree with all the judges' negative comments. I don't think those comments are for this performance.
  5. Elise Testone - Vienna - I'm really glad that she sang another great song, and I'm really glad that she's getting better and better each week. Next time, she should do better so people are still gonna put her through.
  6. Erika Van Pelt - New York State of Mind - This girl is not a New Yorker, but she sang it like she's one. She really did great, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her. Unfortunately, she got eliminated. America is trippin'!
  7. Heejun Han - My Life - His performance wasn't that great, but I'm gonna give points because he took the risk. It was a different him, but it would have been better if he showed us that side with a different song. He should do better next week, because Heejun is really one of the best contestants this season. HE IS A STAR!
  8. Joshua Ledet - She's Got a Way - I didn't quite get his performance, his performance last week is a really hard thing to follow. I think he didn't get the chance to sing a better song because the theme is too isolated.
  9. Skylar Laine - Shameless - For the past three live shows, she was really doing great, that she gets me everytime she performs, what happened this week? I like her, and I want to hear more of her, so next time, I suggest that she should be more careful with her song choice, but I can't blame her because really, this week's theme is just Billy Joel.
  10. DeAndre Brackensick - Only the Good Die Young - Not the best way to open a performance. From the previous weeks, this was the worst opening performance of all. It was just boring. I don't know.

RESULTS SHOW
Haley Reinhart - Free - Awesome! She's back, and now she has a single. I loved her performance, and I think she has to record more records.

Lana del Ray - Love her!

What was your reaction with this week's Idol? Comment

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 11 REVIEW

The top 12 performed last Wednesday and now here's y review because I wasn't able to post anything that day because of schoolwork. Here we go.

  1. Joshua Ledet - When a Man Loves a Woman - Best performance of the night! I can't believe he was in the bottom three last week, but I'm glad that he won't be there this time. He did a really awesome job, I even went closer to the television because I was enjoying it too much, and like JLo, I can't stop saying WOW!
  2. Hollie Cavanagh - The Power of Love - They saved the bests for last. She did it again, the way she won my heart - or our hearts - last week. I'm glad that she chose this song, because once again, it showed her range, and it wasn't as boring as any of the other performances of the night. Good Job Hollie!
  3. Colton Dixon - Broken Heart - The song is not known, but he still did it. I listened to the original song, and his version was better. This guy is going really far in the competition. That's all.
  4. Skylar Laine - Love Sneakin' on You - This girl can sing anything, just like I said for how many times now. I didn't like the song choice because I wanted her to do something which is more known, ut still I like her voice, and it fits almost any song she sings.
  5. Elise Testone - Let's Stay Together - Awesome performance! I didn't like the song choice, but it really showed her voice, so I'll just let the song choice go. Great redemption from her performance last week.
  6. Shannon Magrane - One Sweet Day - Awesome redemption from her performance last week, it;s a big song, but she still hit it. Comparing to her performance last week, this is way, way, way, way better. Let's just hope that she's not in the bottom three because you know how America votes.
  7. Phillip Phillips - Hard to Handle - I really enjoyed his performance, however, wrong song choice again. I don't know why he chose this song, and I don't get the way he performed it. He has a great voice, and that's all I have to say.
  8. Jessica Sanchez - Turn the Beat Around - I have to agree with the judges that it's the wrong song choice for her. I'll just say she has a really great voice, and I know she'll make it through. It's just not the right song for her. She could have picked a Michael Jackson, or a Mariah song.
  9. Erika Van Pelt - Heaven - I don't know why she chose this song, she could've chosen something rock just like what everybody's expecting her to do. I love her voice, but she should pick songs which could really showcase that.
  10. DeAndre Brackensick - Endless Love - His performance was a little boring, I don't know why. I liked his version of Master Blaster better, especially its studio version. I hope he starts doing more exciting ongs because that's what America wants, a song which will make them stand from their seat because of excitement, and goosies.
  11. Heejun Han - Right Here Waiting - The most horrible song choice of the night. I like Heejun's voice but he really need to start thinking about his song choice. He should be wiser, because if he's gonna keep picking the wrong song choices, he's surely going home. Randy saying that he's in trouble just made his fans double the effort of voting for him, but I think he really deserves another chance. He's my favorite, but I'm just disappointed with the song choice.

What do you think about their performances? Comment.

AMERICAN IDOL 2012: TOP 13 REVIEW

The top 13 has performed for Whitney and Stevie, now I'm gonna comment on their performances. I'd say half of them did a good job, but some picked the wrong songs so... just read. Here we go...
  1. Phillip Phillips - "Superstition" - Awesome! Great! Perfect! He's in it to win it, and I agree with Jimmy, the show really needs him. His performances looks so simple but he's really doing a great job delivering them. He's just really great I don't know what else to say.
  2. Hollie Cavanagh - "All The Man That I Need" - Perfect! Just Perfect! Hollie Cavanagh is the one! She really did a great job with the performance and she is really likeable, and adorable. She showed us her range again with that performance, and I really just love her. I think we're gonna see her for a longer time, and I think America will really be keeping her because she can really make great records.I love her accent too.
  3. Skylar Laine - "Where Do Brokenhearts Go" - first of all, I would like to say that I'm glad that she did this song, because I suggested it; secondly, I think she did a really great job with her performance; Third, she has a really great voice and range; Lastly, she's in it to win it.
  4. Heejun Han - "All In Love is Fair" - Another awesome performance from the best comedian on Idol. Vocals were good, song choice wasgood, and stage presence was good. So overall, it was great! I think he's really doing a great job, but next time, I want him to sing something a little upbeat. This guy is gonna stay for a long time in the competition, and I'm sure that he's gonna be safe this week.
  5. Jessica Sanchez - "I Will Always Love You" - This girl really held nothing back, and she definitely pulled it off. One of the best performances of the night, and I'm glad that she did this song because it definitely showcased her vocals. Jessica is one of the contestant with the most flexible voices ever, I think she can sing anything, but her voice is kind of common. I just want more confidence, because I think she's a different person when she's not performing.
  6. Jeremy Rosado - "Ribbon in the Sky" - I see tears in JLo's eyes again. I think this guy is really doing a great job performing for America because he has a really great performance. I don't know why Randy said that but I think it's really a great performance. Maybe next time, he just has to be more careful about picking his songs.
  7. Joshua Ledet - "I Wish" - It was the natural him, and I think he did a great job. America did a good job voting him to the top 13 because he really deserves it. That performance was really energetic and I definitely think that he should do more of this for him to stay longer.
  8. Colton Dixon - "Lately" - At first, I thought his performance wouldn't turn out good with that song, and if ever he's gonna pull it off, it's gonna be just average, but I have to say that his performance was really awesome. Coolest version of "Lately" that would really make America vote for him.
  9. Jermaine Jones - "Knocks Me Off My Feet" - Great job with the song choice. I'm glad he didn't do an upbeat song because I definitely thik that it would only put him in the bottom. I tink we'll be seeing this guy for a little while with that song, and I just hope America agrees with me because that is Jermaine's best performance ever.
  10. Elise Testone - "I'm Your Baby Tonight" - Good vocals, but wrong song. I don't really see Elise doing this kind of song, but I just want to say that she really pulled it off with her vocals, next time, maybe she just has to be careful about picking her song.
  11. DeAndre Brackensick - "Master Blaster (Jammin')" - I didn't really get his performance, but I think he did a great job. I'm confused, I don't know what to say. I didn't just get it. I just hope he's gonna do something different the next time because I know he'll make it through.
  12. Erika Van Pelt - "I Believe in You and Me" - Just so-so. I'm not really sure about her song choice though. It's wrong, it's right? I don't know, but I believe in this girl, and I believe that she can do better than that. I hope America will give her another chance because I know she can do. I wanna tell her that she should never waste the spot she got because it's gonna be a really big loss.
  13. Shannon Magrane - "I Have Nothing" - Big mistake on the song choice. This song was covered by most of the amazing Reality Singing Competition contestants such as Melanie Amaro, and with her performance, she just lost it. I don't know why she did a song this big, but I absolutely think that this song is the kind of song that she shouldn't touch.

BOTTOM 2
GIRL: Erika Van Pelt
GUY: Jermaine Jones

JUDGES WILL ELIMINATE: Jermaine Jones

TOMORROW America's Lucky 13 will become 12. Lauen Alaina will be performing a song, and I think it's "Georgia Peaches."

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 FINAL PERFORMANCES: REVIEW

This was the best night of American Idol for me. Other than all the performances, I'm happy for Lauren, and I'm glad that she was able to perform on the show, because if she didn't, we won't see "Like My Mother Does". That's the best performance of the night for me. Both of the final songs did get me, and whoever wins it is deserving for me by now.

REVIEW IN RANDOM ORDER:

  • Lauren Alaina - "Lie My Mother Does" - I love the song. Lauren really did a good job, she even hugged her mom while she's singing. The performance made me teary-eyed, and I really want Lauren to win now. I love her. I think this performance also changed everything, she won two rounds based on the judges, I hope the voters also see this. I'm gonna play this song always, and it will never be out of my playlist. Lauren Alaina has just proven that she is in it to win it, and she is really going to win it. There were a lot of Lauren haters since Haley was eliminated, but that didn't stop her. She's young, and I think seeing all those harsh comments could hurt her. She cries everytime the judges don't like her performance, but we have to understand that she's young. Anybody on her age, except some, will really feel bad, and some will just keep that to themselves, but they will get hurt. Lauren Alaina is the winner for me.

  • Scotty McCreery - "Love You This Big" - it has been a long journey for Scotty. From not finding a group for a long time during the Hollywood week, he's now in the finale. I think all those who rejected him from their group are now regretting what they've done. Scotty is a great singer, and he proved that since he auditioned for the show. This final song also made me want to cry, but I just kept it, and released it on Lauren's performance. There are a lot of Scotty haters out there, but there are more supporters. He's also in it to win it, and for a 17-year-old, the awesomeness of the performances he gave America is enough for him to win.

  • Lauren Alaina - "Maybe It Was Memphis" - did she really have a problem with her voice? Why is she so good on all the performances during the night? She did a good job with the song, that made her win this round. I love how she sung the song, and I love the fact that Carrie Underwood chose this song for her.

  • Scotty McCreery - "Check Yes or No" - Scotty is everybody's man, he's the man, yeah. He also did an awesome job with his performance, and that gives everyone a hard choice.

  • Lauren Alaina - "Flat on the Floor" - I was right, this was one of the top three songs on my list, and I guessed that she will be singing one of those three. This was her first performance of the night, and though there were some parts of the song where she is losing her voice, she still did awesome. SHE'S IN IT TO WIN IT!

  • Scotty McCreery - "Gone" - this was 4th on my list, so I wasn't right. I liked this performance better than the first one, and this song is one of my favorite performances by Scotty. He's also in it to win it.
I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but whatever will be America's decision, they're right for voting these two to the finale. Who do you think will win? Please leave a comment.

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 3: GOODBYE GROWLING, THE COUNTRYBOY AND THE COUNTRYGIRL IN THE FINALE

The show started with Ryan announcing that there were 95 million votes sent after the performance show last night. Jimmy then predicted that one of the finalists would be a guy, and obviously, he was talking about Scotty.

They then made fun of Randy's favorite line of the season "You're in it to win it." There were two stools on stage where the top two will be sitting by the end of the show.

Haley's hometown video was then show, where 30,000 fans attended followed by the Ford Music video. We also got a performance from the Italian boyband Il Volo.

Scotty's hometown video followed the boyband's performance, and then Nicole Scheringer performed with 50 Cent with her new single "Right Here". The video for Lauren's homecoming was then viewed.

The results followed, and Scotty was announced safe first. Lauren was then announced safe next, and Haley was eliminated.

This would really be an extra fun finale, two young artists, both country singers, but will it be the country boy or the country girl? The top 2 performance will be on Tuesday next week, same time, and on Wednesday, the finale would follow with surely lots of surprises.

What are your thoughts about the top 2? Did America get it right? (I think YEAH!) Leave a Comment

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 3: REVIEW

Three songs tonight, I never thought that the show would last for two hours with only nine songs performed. The top three has three songs to sing, one is the personal choice, the other is Iovine's choice, and the last one will be chosen by one of the judges.

ROUND 1 Contestant's Choice.
Best: Haley Reinhart - unanimous REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Scotty McCreery - "Amazed" by Lonestar - this was his nest performance of the season for me... I think he will be in the finale, and now I see why he's still in the competition. There is real talent within him.
  2. Haley Reinhart - "What Is and What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin - she did a good job, but I like Scotty's performance better. I'm sometimes annoyed by her voice.
  3. Lauren Alaina - "Wild One" by Faith Hill - there are some parts of the song which I didn't really like, maybe she would be better with "Independence Day" by Martina McBride. I would love to see Lauren on the finale though.

ROUND 2 Iovine's Choice
BEST: Scotty McCreery - JLo and Randy; Steven's vote goes to Lauren
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Lauren Alaina -"If I die Young" by The Band Perry - the song really touched me. I agree with Steven that round 2 ges to Lauren Alaina. She's young, and she already have that in her. Also an awesome song choice by Jimmy Iovine there.
  2. Scotty McCreery - "Are You Gonn Kiss Me or Not" by Thompson Square - this is another good performance from Scotty. I think he is really in it to win it now, and I take back everything I said, Scotty is deserving to be in the top three.
  3. Haley Reinhart - "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac - I love this song, but when Haley sang it boringly, and I felt that with her little sleepy voice at the start of the song, and she's sometimes losing her voice, so I think Didi's version is still better. The Upbeat part saved the performance.

ROUND 3 Judges' Choice
BEST: Lauren Alaina - JLo and Randy voted for her; Steven voted for Haley.
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Lauren Alaina - "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack - I love this song, and I love her. Her take on the song was really amazing, and I think she will be able to go on. She's going to grow, and she will be more awesome.
  2. Scotty McCreery - "She Believes in Me" by Kenny Rogers - the last performance of the night for Scotty. His performances were all great, I have nothing more to say about him.
  3. Haley Reinhart - "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morisette - (All the things I'll be saying will be based on my opinion, I didn't mean to offend anyone) Randy did a complet sabotage. This is one of Haley's worst performance for this season. I preferred Haley in the finale more than Scotty, but now, with two performances in the bottom of my list, I think it's Scotty.
OVERALL:
  • Lauren Alaina - she did an awesome job, and I can see her grow in the show. She's young, that's why she can't really take much of the criticism, but she will learn, and I know that she is deserving to stay in the competition.
  • Scotty McCreery - the little girl/mothers/chick-magnet of the show. I definitely think he will survive the elimination tomorrow because of all the fans that he made during the show.
POSSIBLY GOING HOME: Haley Reinhart, two performances gone wrong. Her voice is really flat, and I don't see people buying her album after she wins the show. I want to see her in the finale performing with the eliminated contestants, and I hope that none of her fans, or anyone will take this as a big deal.

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
Nicole Scheringer
will perform "Right There" and the music video premier of Beyoncé's "Run The World (Girls)".

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 4: REVIEW

Last week, Lauren was in the bottom two, but she really fought her way to get some votes. Will she make it?

The worst performance of the night would go to Scotty, both of the songs he sung were really boring. I think he will make it, because of his fans.

The Leiber and Stoller songs were much better than the Inspirational songs, I thought last week, it would be the NOW songs to invite me, but I loved the THEN, and I also thought that Carole King week would be boring, but it turned out interesting.

INSPIRATIONAL SONGS:
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Lauren Alaina - "Anyway" - this is the only song that gave life for the first round, I love that she did it, because I really believe in her, and I want her to be in that HOMECOMING.
  2. James Durbin - "Don't Stop Believin'" - James was like having his concert when he sung the song, and I love how he did it, good performance for opening a show.
  3. Scotty McCreery - "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" - it's an average performance, wasn't boring, but wasn't inviting. I know Scotty will surely be in the top three, but I really hope the audience vote fair, because Scotty is not that great.
  4. Haley Reinhart - "Earth Song" - there were some issues with her attitude towards the ten year judge on American Idol, she just has to face it, her performance wasn't good, and she has to accept that she has to leave now.
LEIBER AND STOLLER SONGS:
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Lauren ALaina - "Trouble" - I love the way she sung the song, and how she stepped out of her comfort zone. Well, this is the only song familiar to me among all the other songs sung, but she really did a great job.
  2. Haley Reinhart - "I (Who Have Nothing)" - I can't believe I'm saying this, but Haley connected with the audience, and she sung the song good.
  3. James Durbin - "Love Potion No. 9" - I don't quite get his performance. His vocals were amazing but I need more connection.
  4. Scotty McCreery - "Young Blood" - Why now Scotty? Why? I want Scotty to be deserving, but I just don't see that. I know he will stay, I just need a reason why he is deserving to stay. The song was boring and weird.
OVERALL RANKING:
MY TOP TWO:
  1. Lauren Alaina - I'm glad that she finally stepped out of her comfort zone. I know she will have a good future, and I really hope she will be in the finale.
  2. James Durbin - he's really singing his way to the finale, and he's doing a great job with it. I love James, and I would love it if he would win, because nobody has won the competition with his genre.
MY BOTTOM TWO: Scotty McCreery - he is really in the bottom of my list, and I want him GONE. Sorry Scotty fans.

POSSIBLY GOING HOME: Haley Reinhart - we can say that Haley has gathered fans from the past few weeks, and though I prefer her staying in the competition than Scotty, I also don't see why she's here. She did a good job, and I think that's a reason why she's here, but she's not worthy in the finale. That's all.

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
Steven Tyler
's "(It) Feels So Good" music video premiere, and Jordin Sparks will be going back to sing a single.

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 5: REVIEW

The saved contestant was eliminated again last week, who would it be this week? I hope it's not Lauren.

Of course, this review will be based on my opinions, and though I put Scotty in the Bottom 2, he will surely be safe.

I thought the NOW songs will be fun, but they aren't really. I thought the THEN songs will be boring, but it turns out the songs from the 60's are the best part of the performance show.

SONGS FROM NOW:
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Lauren Alaina - "Flat on The Floor" - all the performances were boring, hers really woke me up from my sleep. The reasons may be because I love Carrie Underwood or simply, I just love her. The judges also loved her performance, and that long haired guy who plays the violinist joins her on the stage again. Just sayin'.
  2. James Durbin - "Closer to the Edge" - he had an average performance for me, average, interesting, inviting, but it was kind of a little cheesy.
  3. Scotty McCreery - "Gone" - average, not risky, but inviting. This guy will definitely survive the competition.
  4. Jacob Lusk - "No Air" - good song choice, not boring, but not inviting. It's just a matter of picking a good song, doing your best to sing it beautifully, and making people want to have more. He didn't do that this time.
  5. Haley Reinhart - "You and I" - I always said she could go with Lady Gaga, but I'm talkin' about Gaga's songs which reached the charts, not this one. Good song choice for her voice, but Gaga's version was way much better.

SONGS FROM THEN:
REVIEW BY RANK:
  1. Haley Reinhart - "House of the Rising Sun" - Haley was never on the top of my rankings list, but she really hit it this time. I love the song choice, I love the way she sung it, and I love how she made me want to listen to her voice.
  2. Lauren Alaina - "Unchained Melody" - the song trended on twitter after her performance, she did really awesome, and I know that she is now really in it to win it.
  3. James Durbin - "Without You" - I love how he put his emotions to the song. He was always on my top three, and I think he has the biggest chance to make it to the finals.
  4. Scotty McCreery - "Always On My Mind" - average performance, nothing more.
  5. Jacob Lusk - "Love Hurts" - he did it also average, but it is really a great song choice.
OVERALL RANKING:
MY TOP THREE:
  1. Lauren Alaina - she's definitely going to make it to the top 4, with both of her performances being loved by the judges and by the audience, I have no doubts, she would make it.
  2. Haley Reinhart - this is actually her first time to be in my top three. I think she's also showing America how great she is.
  3. James Durbin - as I just said, he has the biggest chances to make it to the finale.
BOTTOM TWO: I think they will be put to safety in random order again, and I definitely think that Scotty McCreery will be at the top, but I didn't think he did enough to invite me with his average performances.

POSSIBLY GOING HOME: Jacob Lusk - I really want Jacob to stay, but his performances didn't do anything good for him to be in the top 4. I just hope America change their mind about him, and give him a chance to prove more of his talent.

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
Jennifer Lopez
will be performing, Lady Antebellum will also be performing.

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 6: REVIEW

Last week, it was Stefano, now who would it be this week?

This week, I'm sure Scotty will be safe, he's on my top three as well as James and Lauren.

I always said before they performed that "Carole King" song s will be boring, but the way they took the songs wasn't. I really enjoyed the show, they just need a little more invitations to grab some attention.

MY TOP THREE:
  1. Scotty McCreery - "You've Got A Friend" - I wasn't bored with his performance this time, because the song is really beautiful. Nice song choice for him, though I prefer Lauren singing this song. He will definitely be safe, and Scotty is coming back for me.
  2. James Durbin - "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" - I enjoyed his performance so much, soft yet semi-Upbeat.
  3. Lauren Alaina - I don't still see her being in the bottom three, and I think she will gain a lot of support from America since her hometown lost power. Earlier, Scotty and Lauren were both trending on twitter. She brought swagger to the stage according to Randy and I agree with taht.
MY BOTTOM THREE:
  • Jacob Lusk - "Oh No Not My Baby" - he had fun, and he performed it in an interesting way. A really good way to open the show.
  • Casey Abrams - I'm getting sick of his take on the songs. He must stop scaring us with those facial expression and voice which is a kind of slight growl. They saved him, and again, he must prove to everyone that he is worthy to be saved.
  • Haley Reinhart - she did really good. But I didn't feel any invitation from her for us to listen. America will be voting for her I know that, but I think her votes will not be enoguh for her to stay in the competition.
THE DUETS:
  1. Lauren and Scotty - they trended on Twitter, their duet is awesome, and they must make an album together! 'nuff SAID!
  2. Jacob and James - their performance was average. They somewhat invited me to listen, I guess some people enjoyed it too.
  3. Casey and Haley - they did "I Feel The Earth Move" but it was rally boring for me, because it was so Common. They have chemistry singing together, but I think they're both not safe in the eyes of America.

POSSIBLY GOING HOME: I have a feeling that Haley will be going home this time. She was in the bottom three four times, and with her performances from the previous weeks, she's not doing good enough to stay ion the competition, I never even thought that she would make it this far. However, she will really make good music someday. I am not a Haley fan, but I'll really look forward to her songs someday.

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
Crystal Bowersox
and Bruno Mars will be performing on the Idol stage, and one of our finalists will be leaving us again.

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 7: REVIEW

Last week, Paul was eliminated from the show, who would it be this week?

Again, this week, Scotty will definitely be safe because of the pre-adolescent girls out there, and maybe some adolescents.

The show was opened with the eliminated contestants singing "So What" by Pink. The best performance of the night for me would be Casey's "Harder to Breathe". This time, unlike last week, not all the performances were great. The performance of the night which didn't quite satisfy me was Stefano Langone's "Closer".

MY TOP THREE:
  1. Casey Abrams - "Harder to Breathe" - he definitely did it, he even kissed Jennifer Lopez. After that save, Casey is growing more and more tougher in this competition. His take on the songs are quite scary though, with his facial reactions, and voice.
  2. James Durbin - "Uprising" - I remembered Adam Lambert in his performance.
  3. Lauren Alaina - "Born to Fly" - it wasn't a very famous "KNOWN" song, but I really loved the way she took it.
For Jacob Lusk, what I noticed is that he messed up the lyrics of "Dance with my Father" where maybe, he was fighting back the tears or he doesn't like saying Life removed his innocence, because he went "Back when I was a child... Before *moved away the mic for a moment* all the innocence.

MY BOTTOM THREE:
  • Haley Reinhart - "Rolling in the Deep" - good performance but not good enough. She definitely got the song right, but the way she took it wasn't good enough -in my opinion.
  • Scotty McCreery - "Swingin'" - I've had enough of Country from Scotty. It's time to start taking risks on this phase of the competition, but he would definitely be safe because of the girls out there.
  • Stefano Langone
POSSIBLY GOING HOME: Stefano Langone; he did a very well known song, but he didn't do it in an INTERESTING way. I really want him to stay in the competition, but based on his last performance, I guess it's time for him to leave. We don't know, maybe the tables will turn and it would be Jacob Lusk or Haley Reinhart.

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
David Cook
will be performing "The Last Goodbye" and Katy Perry will also perform "E.T." Who is Katy's favorite this year, and what do you think will she wear tomorrow?

AMERICAN IDOL 2011 TOP 8: REVIEW

All of what is written here are based on my opinions. After Pia's elimination last week, the results tomorrow would be unpredictable, but Scotty will surely be safe since young girls fell in love with him, and more girls vote for boys than girls voting for girls. This week, the contestants took on Songs from the Cinema, but who did best and who did it just right?

The best performance of the night for me would be James' "Heavy Metal". At first I thought his version would be boring, because this song is so old. Actually, this is the second American Idol performance show of the season where all of them did great, but Haley's "Call Me" was just right. For me, Haley has really grown, and I think she's starting to become an airhead - in my opinion.

MY TOP THREE
  1. James Durbin - "Heavy Metal"
  2. Stefano Langone - "End of the Road"
  3. Lauren Alaina - "The Climb"
MY BOTTOM THREE
  • Paul McDonald
  • Scotty McCreery - but will be safe though his performances each week are getting more boring, and almost like the same.
  • Haley Reinhart
POSSIBLY GOING HOME: Haley Reinhart; I definitely think that she has to leave now. First, because she was really happy with Pia's elimination based on her early reactions. Second, she's always growling, we have to see something new from her. I know it's a good thing sticking with what you can do, but don't always do the same thing every week. This is American Idol!

THE RESULTS TOMORROW:
Rihanna
will be performing tomorrow. Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson with Jason Aldean will also be performing "Don't you Wanna Stay"
